Life goes on... boy that may be the understatement of the year. I don't know how so much time lapses between my blogging sessions. I am forever one step behind these days. So, in lieu of several long blogs I will tell you what's happened in list form.
1. We got a puppy.
2. Kids have come and gone, and come and gone, and come and gone.
3. We got ANOTHER puppy.
4. My baby boy went to Italy. He's there now. whaaaaaaaa....... I miss him.
5. We've had company several times.
6. I cleaned my house. It's never ending and I've all but given up on it looking nice.
7. I've actually gotten some food from my tiny garden.
8. My house scent has gone from being nice to smelling like dog. And dog pee.
9. My back is forever hurting from picking up my pups and picking up after my pups.
10. I'm mad that I missed seeing Lori do the splits between the dock and the boat and subsequently falling into the lake.
My list is going down hill, so I'm going to just stop for now. But that's pretty much what's up!
When you see ads like this on puppyfind.com go get that baby FAST. This is the love of my life. His name is Nacho.
He's NACHO average dog. Yes, It's a cheesy name. I admit it. But he is perfect for our family. We WUFF HIM! He was a whopping 12 pounds in this picture. And he is a miniature version of the big boy he is now. Now, he's 12 weeks old and 25 pounds. He has the swagger of a grizzly bear but still cries for his mommy (me) when he wakes up.
This sums up Nacho's new life.
This is sweet baby Sophie. We went back to the farm to go get her a week after we got Nacho. Not to be cheesy again, but Aussie's really are like chips, you can't have just one.
Nacho and Sophie fell in love immediately. They play every minute they are awake. They provide each other with endless amounts of energy. It was a little harder to get that bond with her with Nacho's constant play attacks but we've managed finally to closely bond. As usual, she imprinted with our daughter first.
And it took a while for the first lady to come around too. But she has. Officially. She is in love with her new puppy siblings. I occasionally worry about her getting hurt when she gets caught in the fray. Sometimes she growls and barks and they ignore her, but they seem to know when she really means business and they always defer to her.
She is no longer in mourning for the loss of her sister, and our hearts are beginning to heal.
They are having many happy adventures these days on the shores of the lake.
Other than the puppies our life is pretty lazy... We work around the house on various projects, swim, boat, and hang out with our kiddos.
There is a lack of pictures of my boy because he's gone right now. Did I mention that skype is the greatest invention EVER?!!! I have to tell you all this because it's nothing short of a technological miracle to me. One day my boy, who is in Europe, tried to skype me on my ipad. Instead of me, he reached his sister in Norman, Oklahoma which is 3 1/2 hours away from me, because she took my ipad with her. So she called me on her cell phone and we "facetimed" as she held up the ipad and I got to SKYPE VIA FACETIME!!! (pow! mind blown!)
When I went to Europe in the 80's I called home once. I called collect and it sounded like we were on different planets with a sketchy connection. Am I sounding old? I can't help but be completely impressed with this.
I hope you're enjoying your summer! I love ya bunches & I appreciate every one of you!
