So... it's finally coming together. Amy's little eclectic room. I'm loving it. Nothing matches. That was intentional.
So, here's one view!!!
We made a BIG step and hung pictures on the walls. This has been a "thing" with me for a while. I didn't want to hang pictures until everything was in place.
The view as you walk into the room! The window treatments are new as well. We had a little bit of a hard time with that. The first panels we picked out were from different dye lots and didn't match. I picked out a "sagey" blue I liked but the lady that helped me told me there was a dye lot issue with that color as well, so we went with safe chocolate brown panels. Again... it maches nothing. :) I'm ok with that. This is new for me... an exercise in anti-o.c.d.
There are a couple of things we still need to work on. The wall space above the headboard. I'm trying to decide what would look good there. I'm thinking about maybe doing a collage of photographs that I've taken. ?? Or maybe one giant gallery print. ?? Anyone?
The other thing is what to do to the left of the window in that corner. ?? Desk? Cabinet? shelves? Still up in the air about that.
I would also love to take the ceiling fan out of the room (I'm not big on ceiling fans) and put in a more decorative light fixture. I've got an idea.. Maybe going in the modern direction. ???
You can see how this has taken a while.
But for sure the little kid room is now an adult room! :)
I'm a wife and mom! That about sums me up! I am blessed to be married to my best friend for 28 years now. I have 2 great kids that are grown! My hobbies include: Cooking, photography, gardening, reading, painting, and pottery, and feathering my nest!
