It was wonderful to have both bedrooms done for when the kids came home over break. It was wonderful mostly because they got to put their clothes up and I didn't have to do it! hee hee.
Evan's room was really much easier to put together than Amy's. We got really lucky and found furniture we liked right here in our little town! Of all things! It was pretty, it was not too manly or too feminine and was just the right price!
We also knew that we wanted to put my dad's old desk in his room. This was my dad's desk in his office when I was little and before that it belonged to my mother's father. It weights about 5 thousand tons. haha I'd like to find a better chair to go with it- right now I am using the one that had formerly been at the little computer nook in the kitchen. I'm thinking maybe a blue metal chair that will go with his "Cowboy" theme he has going.
And of course he got new window treatments as well! It was handy having him home to help hang those!
Now, what to do for my next project????
I'm a wife and mom! That about sums me up! I am blessed to be married to my best friend for 28 years now. I have 2 great kids that are grown! My hobbies include: Cooking, photography, gardening, reading, painting, and pottery, and feathering my nest!
