It sort of looks like I've dropped the ball on my photography challenge doesn't it? But I'm still going! I've been posting them on the 365 site every day. I will still share some good pics with ya'll but I'm not going to bore you to death with my dull ones.
Here are some photos I took in Holdenville yesterday. I went by our old house and was so damned sad it was such a wreck. It has not been loved. I ended up driving by our old farm because I had a feeling it would be beautiful and it did not disappoint.
This was the Holdenville cemetary. I was proud to see it had been taken care of very well. It was nice to drive thru and see all of those old Holdenville family names I remember so well.
When I slowed down for the railroad tracks I actually stopped to look both ways.. I guess there was no need for that.
Going down the hill to the farm
This cow had been at the pond and took off running down the trail back towards the others. I thought I might have scared it but more likely it was running back toward the gate and the feed troughs hoping for a meal. To the left of the road is where I learned to ride my horse Strawberry. He was small and would try to keep up with the big horses who could jump the bar ditches. Strawberry could stretch out and make it over but most of the time I didn't make it and ended up in a bar ditch.
It was nice riding down memory lane for a little bit.
