I ventured out the front door today. :) And I'm telling everyone I can to please go get a flu shot!
Today I added my name to my photograph of Mazie because I can hear Carrie scolding me for not doing this so far to any of my photos I've uploaded for this project. I guess I'm naive that people would use something without permission. I snapped out of it today though.. I don't want anyone borrowing my baby girl's photograph without knowing who she belongs to.
Isn't she pretty? Eye boogers and all. I love this puppy. She and her sister have been my little bed bugs staying right by my side while I've been sick. They even barked at me when I wheezed thinking an alien had invaded my body.. or maybe they think I ate a cat.. who knows. They didn't like that sound at all.
Today steroids have kicked in. Actually they kicked in last night! I sat and read Winter Of The World by Ken Follett until around 3:00 a.m. and then read the news online, and spent about another hour on Pinterest.
Speaking of Ken Follett, he is one of my favorite authors. He wrote Pillars Of The Earth. If you've never read it you should. I'm reading the second book in a trilogy about World War I and World War II. Historical fiction is my favorite!
I was excited to learn that one of my other favorite authors has had another book out since fall. Daniel Silva. He writes stories about international spies and terrorism. I wouldn't have thought that it would be my cup of tea, but anyone who reads his stories can't help but admire the central character in his stories. And another reason that I love those books is because of the historical fiction. It's got enough fiction to make a good story but he does a lot of research and has a good deal of truth in there as well. And usually it piques my interest enough to research some of it myself.
I hope everyone is having a great day and everyone is staying well!
