This is not new.. just new to me. But it is one of those products that needs to be shared.
My friend Kim told me about this and insisted I find it. She said she could drink it through a straw. I figured that was a pretty good testimony to how much she like it and knew I'd have to look around for it. My first grocery store trip found another Girard's dressing but it wasn't this flavor. She told me that the champagne dressing was "THE" one to get. So I waited until my next grocery run to Wal-Mart. They had it.
Let me just say... it was good. It was very good. Best I've had in a while. It doesn't have that Zesty "twang" that Italian dressings all seem to have now, that almost make your cheeks hurt. This was a little more genteel. Elegant. Authentic? Yes, more authentic. It tastes like a really great dressing you'd get at a nice Italian restaurant. It brought back memories of Krebs, Oklahoma and special dinners at Isle of Capri Restaurant.
Kim said she'd been eating it on chopped salad with grape tomatoes, cucumber, and avocado.
We finished our bottle in a week which is saying something. I'm not crazy about store bought dressings and have all sorts of half-empty salad dressing bottles in my refrigerator that are needing to be thrown away. So when you go find this you can buy one bottle just to try it but for me, the appropriate amount to buy is this.
