When I lived in Central Texas I tried many times to plant morning glories. They never would take. Last year, I planted a couple of seeds at the base of the bird house in the back of the picture hoping it would climb up the bird house. Welllll.... you can see that it did, in fact, climb the bird house and has gone wild! It is everywhere!
After our rainy weekend I can only imagine how crazy these vines are going to get.
I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! We had a quiet weekend here on the lake. I got my hopes up a tiny bit that one of my kids might come home only to have my hopes dashed! And after a brief pity party I decided to get my act together and make my own fun!
The weather was cool and what better way to have fun than pack a picnic dinner and spend the evening out floating on the boat.
I decided to go all out... I made creme brulee. It was my first attempt! I packed a homemade pasta dish with fresh ragu.
It did start to rain but we had our enclosure zipped up and we were determined to ride out the rain!
Of course we brought along our best girls. They love boat rides.
Here they are riding up on the dash board of the boat tucked up under the windshield. They liked it there because they are right up by our faces as we ride down the lake.
We packed a couple of movies, enjoyed our dinner, and a nice quiet night on the lake. Joe says we're practicing for our trip to Cuba. :)
And after a boat ride with these 3.. how can one have a pity party??
Life is good!
We definitely need to plan more picnic boat rides.
I'm a wife and mom! That about sums me up! I am blessed to be married to my best friend for 28 years now. I have 2 great kids that are grown! My hobbies include: Cooking, photography, gardening, reading, painting, and pottery, and feathering my nest! I have a project going at all times!
